Coaching Studio SEO Case Study: Nine-Fold Visibility in 28 Days

A coaching studio that transforms its clients was invisible to the people searching for exactly that.

This is the story of one 28-day window in which that changed. The studio's search impressions grew from 1.33K to 11.4K, a 757% increase, while organic clicks climbed from 60 to 108. Below is the unedited Google Search Console graph, what we found when we opened the hood, the work behind the curve, and an honest reading of every number on it, including the two that moved the "wrong" way.

The Graph, Straight From Google

Every number in this case study comes from Google Search Console, Google's own reporting tool. The dotted lines are the previous 28 days. The solid lines are the 28 days after our work started compounding.

Chapter one

The Starting Problem: Great Coaching, Invisible Studio

The coaching studio came to us with a problem we see across the entire coaching industry. Their business ran almost entirely on referrals and word of mouth. That felt safe until it did not: referrals arrive in unpredictable waves, a quiet month for past clients meant a quiet month for new inquiries, and the studio had no way to influence either.

Meanwhile, the people they most wanted to reach were searching every day. Prospects were typing questions about coaching programs, formats, and outcomes into Google, comparing options, and booking consultations with whoever showed up. The studio was not showing up. In the 28 days before our campaign took hold, the entire website earned 1,330 impressions, roughly 47 appearances in Google per day across every query combined. For a business whose next client was actively searching, that was the real cost: not lost rankings, but conversations that never started.

Chapter two

What We Found in the Diagnostic

Our audit surfaced a pattern typical of service businesses built on referrals: a website that worked as a brochure for people who already knew the studio, and did almost nothing for people who did not. These became the campaign's four focus areas.

A tiny query footprint

The site was appearing for a narrow cluster of searches, mostly its own name. Almost none of the questions people ask before hiring a coach surfaced the studio at all.

Thin program pages

Each coaching program shared one page with a few sentences. Google had nothing substantial to rank for the specific outcomes and formats prospects actually search for.

On-page basics left on the table

Titles, headings, and meta descriptions were generic. Pages did not target a clear primary query, and internal links gave Google little sense of what mattered most.

No informational presence

Prospects research coaching long before they book a consultation. The studio had no content answering those early questions, so competitors owned the entire research phase.

The site's problem was not that it ranked badly. It was that it barely existed in search at all, so the first job was not to climb, it was to show up.

Chapter three

What We Did: Building a Search Footprint

We ran the campaign in three overlapping phases, each mapped to a core Fivet Solutions discipline. The goal was simple to state and disciplined to execute: make the studio eligible to appear for every search a future coaching client makes.

1

Rebuilt the on-page foundation

We started with on-page SEO across the entire site: one clear primary query per page, rewritten title tags and meta descriptions, a logical heading structure, and internal links that pushed authority toward the pages that book consultations.

2

Expanded the content surface

Our content writing team gave each coaching program its own dedicated page and built supporting content around the questions prospects search before choosing a coach. Every new page answered a real query instead of filling a publishing quota.

3

Ran it as an ongoing campaign

Everything operated inside our Complete Monthly SEO service: we watched Search Console as new pages entered the index, strengthened the queries that started to move, and fed what we learned back into the next round of content.

Chapter four

The Results, Read Honestly

The 28-day comparison recorded four movements, and we will walk you through all four, not just the flattering two.

What grew

  • Impressions rose from 1.33K to 11.4K, a 757% increase. The studio went from a narrow footprint to surfacing across a nearly nine-fold wider set of coaching-related searches.
  • Organic clicks grew from 60 to 108, an 80% increase. Visibility was already converting into real visitors within the same window, not at some promised future date.
  • The daily graph shows the two lines separating and staying separated: this was sustained expansion across the window, not a one-day spike from a single lucky query.

What dipped, and why that is normal

  • Average CTR fell from 4.5% to 1%. With almost nine times more impressions, most of them brand new, the average is divided across a vastly larger base while absolute clicks nearly doubled.
  • Average position drifted from 11.8 to 12.1. Thousands of new queries entered the calculation at mid-page starting positions, which is where fresh rankings begin before they climb.
  • Neither dip represents lost ground. The site kept its existing rankings and added a large new layer on top; the averages simply now include that younger, still-rising layer.

When a site starts appearing for thousands of searches it never appeared for before, average CTR and position get diluted while real clicks grow. That is not a caveat to this result. It is what the early stage of compounding SEO looks like.

Chapter five

What This Means for Your Business

This case study matters most if your business currently depends on referrals. The coaching studio did not have a ranking problem to fix; it had a visibility problem it had never measured. Most referral-driven businesses are in the same position: the demand exists, people search for what you do every day, and someone else collects those searches because your site was never built to appear for them.

The second lesson is about timelines and honesty. Twenty-eight days was enough to multiply this studio's visibility nine-fold and nearly double its clicks, but the larger payoff comes afterward, as those thousands of new impressions mature into rankings that climb from position twelve toward the top of the page. If an agency shows you only graphs where every metric moves up and to the right, ask what the averages are hiding. If a graph like this one, dips included, looks like the honest version of growth to you, we should talk.

The pattern to take away

  • Referrals and SEO compound each other: referred prospects search before they book, and search reaches people no referral will ever bring you.
  • Visibility comes before rankings. A site cannot climb for queries it never appears for, so expanding the query footprint is step one.
  • Judge early SEO by absolute clicks and impressions, not averages. Averages are diluted by exactly the growth you are paying for.
  • Expect the compounding to continue past the first month, which is why we run SEO as an ongoing monthly program with bi-weekly reporting.
