Welcome to Posturly ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Posturly (the "App").

2 Information We Collect
Posturly is designed with a privacy-first approach. We minimize data collection and process everything on your device. Here is what the App uses:
a) Information You Provide
- Name: Your first name, provided during onboarding, stored locally on your device for personalization. This is never transmitted off your device.
- Preferences: Your posture goals, work schedule, and notification preferences to customize your experience. Stored locally only.
b) Automatically Collected Information
- Posture Analysis Data: Photos taken during posture analysis are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are never stored, uploaded, or transmitted to any external server. Only numerical posture scores (e.g., angles, alignment percentages) are saved locally for your progress tracking.
c) Purchase Information
- Subscription Data: All purchase and subscription data is handled exclusively through Apple's App Store infrastructure. We do not collect, process, or store your payment details. We only receive a confirmation of your subscription status from Apple to unlock premium features.
d) What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect usage statistics or analytics of any kind.
- We do not collect device information, device identifiers, or IP addresses.
- We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or tracking tools.
- We do not collect, store, or transmit any photos or images from your camera.
- We have no servers that receive any data from the App.
3 How We Store Your Data
- All posture check history, exercise records, streaks, and achievements are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- We do not maintain any external databases containing your personal posture data or analysis results.
- Your data remains on your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.
- If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be permanently removed from your device.
4 Camera Usage & Image Processing
Posturly requests access to your device's camera solely for the purpose of posture analysis. Here is how we handle your images:
- On-Device Processing: All image analysis is performed locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework (VNDetectHumanBodyPoseRequest). No images are sent to external servers.
- No Image Storage: Photos captured during posture analysis are processed in real-time and immediately discarded after analysis. They are never saved to your camera roll, our servers, or any cloud storage.
- No Facial Recognition: Our posture analysis only detects body landmarks (shoulders, spine, head position). We do not perform facial recognition or identify individuals.
- Revocable Permission: You can revoke camera access at any time through your device's Settings > Posturly > Camera.
5 How We Use Your Information
All data processing happens entirely on your device. We use your locally stored information solely for:
- Providing the App's core functionality including on-device posture analysis, exercise recommendations, and progress tracking.
- Personalizing your experience with customized reminders and exercise suggestions based on your posture scores.
- Sending you local notifications (posture reminders, streak alerts, exercise reminders) based on your preferences. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
- Calculating and displaying your posture improvement statistics and trends, all processed and stored on your device.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the App's core features to you on your device.
6 No Third-Party Data Sharing — No External Services
Posturly does NOT use any third-party AI services, machine learning cloud APIs, or external data processing services of any kind.
All posture analysis is performed 100% on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework (VNDetectHumanBodyPoseRequest), which is part of iOS. No images, body pose data, or any personal information is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers.
The only Apple-provided frameworks and services used by the App are:
- Apple Vision Framework (on-device): A built-in iOS framework that runs entirely on your device for body pose detection. No data leaves your device.
- Apple StoreKit 2 (on-device): For processing in-app purchases and managing subscriptions. All transactions are handled through Apple's secure payment infrastructure. We never see or store your payment information.
- Apple UserNotifications (on-device): For scheduling and delivering local notifications on your device. No notification data is sent externally.
We explicitly confirm:
- We do not use any third-party AI or machine learning services (no OpenAI, no Google Cloud Vision, no AWS Rekognition, no third-party APIs of any kind).
- We do not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or social media trackers.
- We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
- We do not transmit any user data off your device to our servers or any external servers.
- The App has no backend server — it is a fully offline, on-device application (except for Apple's subscription verification).
7 Children's Privacy
Posturly is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8 Data Security
We take data security seriously:
- All data is stored locally on your device and benefits from Apple's built-in device encryption.
- No personal data is transmitted over the internet (except for subscription verification handled by Apple).
- The App does not require an internet connection for core functionality.
9 Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Delete Data: Reset all your data at any time through Settings > Reset All Data within the App.
- Export Data: Export your posture history and exercise data as PDF or CSV files through Settings > Export Data.
- Manage Notifications: Control all notification preferences through the App's Settings.
- Revoke Permissions: Revoke camera access through your device settings at any time.
- Cancel Subscription: Manage or cancel your subscription at any time through Apple ID settings.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
